For the 3rd year, Ambleside surfed to Glory!
Our A-team were unbeaten for the duration of the competition, making them proud winners of the WP Inter-school Surfing Comp.
Huge congratulations to all our champions from Grade 2-7 who braved the unpredictable elements week after week. Competing against ten other schools including Llandudno, Generations, Reddam, Kommetjie, Camps Bay, St Cyprians and others.
The surf team consisted of many surfers from the Cape Town Surfing Academy based in Hout Bay. Coached by W.P Team coach,ex pro surfer and owner of Cape Town Surfing, Hout Bay, Liam Wood.
Liams Academy has been developing surfers from Learn to Surf to elite contest surfers. Many who have been making their mark in the SA Surfing Association as WP team surfers as well as SA team members who are about to compete on the WSL.
Big shout outs go to Amblesides Kieran Murphy, Finn Murphy, Ben Venter, Ryley Smith, Ava Moodycliffe, Munro Scheffel and Jed Whitehead.
